Pubs for Paws was born out of a simple necessity: finding a truly welcoming space for the biggest members of our family. Based in the heart of the Forest of Dean in Westbury-on-Severn, we curate the most reliable, up-to-date guide for dog-friendly pubs, walks, and motorhome stopovers in the region.
I don't just list pubs; I visit them. As the owner of two Great Danes, I know that "dog-friendly" means different things to different people. For us, it means enough floor space for a giant breed to lie down comfortably, a warm welcome from the staff, and ideally, a great local ale and a fire for the humans.
When we aren't at home in the Forest, you'll likely find us touring the UK in our motorhome. This first-hand "van-life" experience allows me to provide specific advice on parking, accessibility, and the best trails that start right from the pub car park.
